I find it really annoying that the GWT encourages you so much to write the server side in Java. It seems it forces you to have client side and server side stuck together, in the same java program. I was actually trying to get my hosted program to connect to a local webserver running Apache and mod_python. I was actually trying to get my hosted program to connect to a local webserver running Apache and mod_python. It’s a nice way to go around the Same-Origin Policy until the code gets in production.
