Image Preparation Requirements

Getting images ready to sell takes lots of time.  Given the severe limitations on online disk storage space you want only your best pictures available.  However, even good images will probably need sharpening and some cropping.  You will need to make thumbnails and smaller images for your sales pages.  Finally, you may want to put a copyright notice across each one to at least slow down image thieves. 

Photoshop actions may allow you to automate some of the process but are not perfect.  Since each pictures is different, it is hard to automate everything.  Usually you end up having to adjust each image one at a time. 

I find this creates a conflict between my urge to have pictures for sale and my desire to offer visitors a nice selection from which to choose.
